HEALTH SCREENING

Have You Taken Control of Your Health Today?

Life Line Screening will be here at First Baptist Church on March 15,  2019 offering safe, painless, non-invasive preventive health screenings that are typically not a part of a routine physical.

Most people can’t identify a single risk factor or a warning sign of stroke, yet over 750,000 Americans will be affected by a stroke this year alone! Stroke is the 4th leading cause of death and the #1 reason for nursing home admission.

To be more proactive about your health and to live longer for yourself, your family and your community, please register for these potentially life-saving tests today.

There is no time like the present to take action!  Learn more by watching this short video: http://www.lifelinescreeningblog.com/introduction/

Three ways to register:

Take control of your health, knowledge is empowering.

What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You!

  • If you are age 21-80 learn your risk for developing 6 different chronic diseases
  • $3 out of every $4 spent on healthcare is for treatment of chronic disease
  • Better lifestyle habits can help prevent 80% of heart disease and 90% of type 2 diabetes

The 6 for Life Health Assessment measures your risk of developing 6 chronic diseases, including heart disease, congestive heart failure, stroke, diabetes, COPD and lung cancer.  A customized report will determine which risk factors contribute most to your disease risk and are within your control to change.  Finger-stick blood tests along with biometric measurements are included with this assessment. These are separate from our vascular screenings. Protect your health by registering today for the 6 for Life Health Assessment for $79.

This event is also being sponsored by Norman Regional Health System.

THANK YOU!

BLOOD DRIVE

On behalf of Pauls Valley First, we want to extend a big thank-you to all of the donors who rolled up their sleeves on January 16 at our community blood drive.

Whether you booked an appointment, came in with family members to show your support, or just stopped because you saw our signs along the roadway, your time and donations are greatly appreciated.

Because of  your donations, and the help of the other volunteers, we were able to collect 31 pints of blood. Of course, the real winners are the patients in need of blood. Each blood donation can help save up to three lives. Your donations are truly appreciated by the blood recipients, their loved ones and all of us here at Pauls Valley First.

We hope that we will see everyone again at our next blood drive. Be sure to check our Facebook and web pages for an announcement about the next drive date. We are so grateful for your time, generosity and dedication to helping others.

Thanks again,

Pauls Valley First Staff
